Person-Centred Therapy in Plymouth

Person-Centred Counselling is based on the belief that everyone tries to fulfil their own potential and has the capacity to.

It emphasises the quality of the relationship between the client and counsellor, which is considered the most important thing to help a client.

It does not involve being given advice or being told what to do by someone else. The counsellor helps you to learn to trust yourself and realise your potential. To get things off your chest and determine the right way forward for yourself.

Counsellors offer you an understanding approach that isn't judgmental and is honest and friendly.

You decide the main focus of the counselling and discuss what might help. The counsellor helps the process by asking questions and helping you clarify what you think and how you feel.
